Capeless Students Provide Hope for Haiti

HOPE FOR HAITI

Over the next several weeks, Capeless students are being asked to bring in spare change which will be donated to the American Red Cross to support their efforts to help Haiti. The change collected in this effort will be tallied in each grade individually and an acknowledgment will be awarded to the grade that collects the most.

See how much we've raised - jugs can be found in the school foyer!

To continue our fund raising efforts, we will be reaching out to the community - we are in need of empty, clean coffee cans - please send them to school with your child if you can help!

Ground Hog Job Shadow Day

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 is Ground Hog Job Shadow Day! The purpose of this day is to provide young people the opportunity to explore the work world and learn connections between what they are learning in school and the necessary skills to be successful in the work world. Workplace mentors will provide students the opportunity to "shadow" them as they go through a normal day on the job. Visit www.JobShadow.org to learn more!

Traffic Advisory!

Please note the following important information regarding traffic safety when visiting Capeless.

PARKING:
While at Capeless please be sure to park your vehicle in the school's parking lots, both at the front and rear of the school building.
To ensure the safety of our students, staff, visitors and school building, please adhere to posted "No Parking/Idling" signs in our school's driveway and fire lanes. Emergency vehicles must have full access to the school in the event of an emergency. We appreciate your cooperation in this important matter.

SLIPPERY ROADS:
We are working in full cooperation with the City of Pittsfield Highway Department in regards to the need for well cleared and sanded roads. We appreciate their prompt response to servicing and treating our roads to assure the safe arrival and dismissal to and from Capeless. Roads leading to the school include steep terrain and extra care may be neccessary to avoid any travel difficulty. Please be sure to leave extra space between vehicles and drive at moderate speeds.
